Turner Prize 2019 And Artists

Lawrence Abu Hamdan: Lawrence Abu Hamdan is an artist and audio investigator, where she explores ‘the politics of listening’ in her work. This artist also explains the role of sound and voice in the law and human rights who is one of the short listed artist to win the turner prize in 2019. The type of work that this artist explores and work with are; installations, audio, photography and typography.

Helen Cammock: The next artist on the turner prize short list is; Helen Cammock. The ype of work that this artist works are; film, photography, print, text and performance. Her work os mainly based about social history and its complexity. Her work has a massive impact as it shows stories which shows her opinion and her voice within. Her work also forces the public to see the different aspects of change with in the world and how it has an impact.

Oscar Murillo: Oscar Murillo is an artist which works in many different ways such as; drawings, installing sculptures, attending live events, making video, painting, and being apart of different collaboration projects that works alongside communities from different backgrounds. This artist explores many things with in his work such as; different materials, labour, communities, migration in different countries and many other rising issues that have seen a rise with in the globe. These issues will inspire and create meaning for the artists work where he will base his work and creativity around this occurring problems with in the world as, it also has a connection to his past and history when he was younger.

Artists

Antony Gormley: Antony Gormley is a very well know artist in which specialises in sculpturing therefore; his work will be presented in the Royal Academy Of Arts. This artist is very loved by the work that he does as he is known to use organic, industrial and elemental materials with in his work which is also environmental friendly. The type of material he uses are; iron, steel, lead that is hand beaten, clay and seawater. All of which can be found on the core of the earth.

Olafur Eliasson:

Ronan Devlin: Ronan Devlin is an artist which creates public artwork which is usually in large scale. This artist focuses up on many factors with in his work which includes; emotions, sense of perception and material world. By using these factors as a starting point he would create things by using; prints, screen and sensory insulation where his main goal is to get his audience engaged and focused up on his work.

Annie Atkins: Annie is an artist in which work with in film and theatre; where she would work in films such as ‘The Tudors’ and ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’. With in these films the artist specialises in graphics and film making where she would; movie posters and graphic pieces.

Anne Atkins have worked with in many films such as; grand Budapest hotel and the new Joker film that was recently released in 2019. she specialises in working on the things that people don’t really pay attention to when watching movies such as; typography and props. The type of props she would woke up on are; posters, maps, news papers and packaging which she is highly famous for; which are been below. As said in a talk recently in Pontio in Bangor; Annie would make many of the same props especially if they are delicate where, each would be exactly the same, if not she would have to bin it and make another one. When answering questions from the audience Annie said that one of the most important things are to keep sketchbooks and that her favourite movie is ‘Jaws’.
